  28. What software or protocols someone uses is up to him or her, but since you
  29. asked: it's faster and cheaper than other ways, for me at least. The point
  30. is: unwanted binary postings downgrade that purpose.

  43. I hardly think so. I post a megabyte maybe in six months. Not in a single
  44. run. So it was a mistake and he apologized. Fine. But this happens over and
  45. over again. I have never accidentally posted a binary since 1989 (that's
  46. when I got access to Internet), I just wish others were as careful.

  53. Just take my word for it, unless special software runs on the server the
  54. UUCP node can't pick out arbitrary articles from _compressed_ _batched_
  55. packets. Usenet is not FIDO. I use AmigaUUCP BTW.
